Arrests announced in the killing of Det. David White

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced four arrests in the shooting death of Clay County Detective David White.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced in a release to the media that 22-year-old Robert Apple II, 21-year-old Christopher Henderson, 19-year-old Curtis "Ping" Dingler and 36-year-old Jack Lemond have been arrested Thursday in connection with the theft and transfer of the gun allegedly used to kill Det. David White in February 2012.

Sheriff's search for man wanted on drug charges

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Clay County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help locating a suspect wanted on drug related charges.

Jamaaal Rashad Cobbert, 30, is wanted by the CCSO for charges of possession of Cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, according to a post on the CCSO Facebook page.

Cobbert is described as 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighing about 180 lbs, the post details.

Cobbert's last known address is on Palm Street in Green Cove Springs.

St. Augustine Police Investigating Unattended Death

Police have arrested a man in the death of a 44-year-old found Saturday night.

Matthew Steven Horn, 44, was arrested in the death of 61-year-old Douglas Wilfred Cracraft, who was found lying in a wooded area, according to a statement today from the St. Augustine Police Department.

Following an autopsy, police determined the death was a homicide.

The body was found in a wooded area west of the railroad tracks behind 3551 North Ponce De Leon Blvd. on the property of the Florida East Coast Railroad, the statement said.

Clay County Man Facing Child Sex Abuse Charges

A 31-year-old man is facing capital sexual battery charges, according to a police report from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Robert Kramer, 31, of Taveres, Fla., was extradited from the Clark County jail in Las Vegas to face the local, pending charges. Kramer was being held there on a fugative warrant.

A CCSO report details the physical and sexual abuse he is accused of. He is charged with capital sexual battery. The police report said the victim reported that the sexual abuse started when he was about 8 or 9 years old.

A multi –agency investigation is underway. Kramer is being held on a bond of over $500,000 in Clay County.
