Missing boy, 14, found safe, police say

UPDATE: Chase Godwin has been found, police tell First Coast News.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Police in Green Cove Springs are calling for your help to locate a teenage runaway who went missing Sunday evening.

Chase Godwin, 14, was last seen on Melrose Avenue about 5 or 6 p.m., according to the Green Cove Springs Police Department. Still, another person reported seeing him at Spring Park around the same time.

Godwin was wearing tan shorts, a black button-down shirt, a black cap and black shoes at the time, police said. He has short light brown hair, green eyes and is approximately 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds.
