Injunction Lifted Against Clay Pastor
News

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Clay County School board voted to lift the injunction against Pastor Ron Baker.

The decision came after the pastor gave a verbal promise that he would not hold prayer on school property until school officials can hold a workshop about having prayer on school campus.

At this time it is unclear when the workshop will be held because Clay County schools are on their winter break.

Until that workshop, Baker will hold prayer on property adjacent to the school.

The meeting lasted five and a half hours.

Baker made headlines two months ago leading prayers at Clay Hill Elementary's flag pole.

National groups objected and he reached an agreement with the School Board to move prayers off school grounds.

Since then, Clay County Superintendent Ben Wortham said Baker received two trespass warnings for coming onto school property.

According to our news partner The Florida-Times Union, one was after he dropped his grandchild off at school.
