Visitation for Detective Killed Attracts Hundreds of Mourners | News

PENNEY FARMS, Fla. -- The visitation for Detective David White attracted hundreds of mourners to a funeral home in Clay County Sunday.

Members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office, officers from surrounding counties, family and friends attended the visitation, three days after a meth lab suspect shot and killed White Thursday night in Middleburg.

Sheriff Rick Beseler described the scene inside, where family members are greeting everyone who walks through the doors.

On Monday, officers from surrounding counties will handle calls for service so members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office can attend the funeral.
