GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- An Orange Park man who was arrested as part of the "Don't Play in Clay" undercover sex sting in April has been sentenced to prison and probation.
Steven Lawrence Chapman, 24, received five years in prison and 10 years of sex offender probation, according to a release from the State Attorney's Office.
SLIDESHOW: Operation: "Don't Play in Clay"
Chapman pleaded guilty in June to use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, lewd or lascivious exhibition over a computer online service and traveling to meet a minor. Assistant State Attorney James Colaw handled the case.
Suspects caught in the operation, including Chapman, thought they were arranging a meeting to have sex with a 14-year-old girl in Fleming Island, but it was actually an officer on the other end.
Numerous agencies, including the FBI, the FDLE and the Clay County Sheriff's Office, helped to conduct the five-day sting. A total of 20 people were arrested, according to the State Attorney's Office.
