The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care & Protective Services Division is now accepting applications for the adoption of 13 English bulldogs that were surrendered to the shelter as part of an eviction earlier this month. Bears’ Appetites Soar in Fall, so Stash Your Garbage

Florida black bears turn into eating machines this time of year, stuffing their stomachs in preparation for winter. For gluttonous bears, raiding a garbage can may be more appealing than foraging in the woods. Wednesday's BIG Catch

Wednesday's BIG Catch

In Florida we share our waters with and interesting and intimidating reptile, the Florida Alligator.

While most people would steer clear of a swamp monster this size, a group of local trappers were proud of today's catch.

There are also strict rules and guidelines to abide by as well. All of this information can be found at :

It is not everyday you come across a catch like this, or the chance to take an up close look at such and interesting creature.

Holidays Mean More Boats in Manatee Zones

Manatees face added danger during busy holiday weekends, simply because there are generally more boaters on the water passing through manatee restricted-speed zones. Boaters should be aware of where the zones are, so they don’t have any surprises when they come upon them. Maps of the zones can be found at MyFWC.com/Manatee.
